Many trout fishers were out and about all week, lining the banks of the Willowemoc and Beaverkill. Water levels have been dropping slowly all week and it’s heartening to see our trout streams back to a normal flow. Hatches continue to be March Browns (these are large mayflies – fun to fish with size #10s and #12s and also nymphs) Blue Winged Olives, various caddis flies and the beginnings of the Isonychia hatches in the afternoons into the evenings.

It was a picture-perfect weekend, the best of the year so far, with warm sunny skies and the 15thAnnual Livingston Manor Trout Parade which drew hundreds of celebrators to town to celebrate Peace, Love and Trout.
