Hot sunny days and little rain have not helped our local rivers and streams; the Beaverkill has ranged from 68 degrees to 78 degrees for much of the week and is well below the average level.

We fished the West Branch Delaware yesterday and today - air temperature was in the 80s but the water was a cool 56 - 60 degrees. In fact, after standing in such cool water for several hours I realized my feet were freezing after I got out of the water! We saw Sulphurs and light Caddis flies hatching sporadically, and sporadic rises - and managed to catch a fair number of trout on a CDC Elk Hair caddis, a small (size #16) Sulphur and a small Green Meanie.
