The end of summer is upon us - although that date isn't for another 3 weeks, it surely seems as if the autumn winds with their noticeably cooler temperatures have arrived and with Labor Day coming up next weekend, a shift to do all that wasn't accomplished yet during the lazy hazy days of summer.

The Japanese Knotweed, bane to many but good bank stabilizer and erosion-control for rivers and streams, is in full bloom - the bright white flower heads serve to light up the dark foggy mornings for those that venture out before sunrise!
